Read Any Good Books Lately?
I’ve known about Project Gutenberg for some time, but never really looked closely at the site. I did get a text copy of Wind in the Willows there sometime back for my old boatbuilding site, but that was about it. I’ve since learned that they have books on just about any topic, and some interesting periodicals as well.
For those not familiar with the concept,
“Project Gutenberg is the oldest producer of free electronic books (eBooks or etexts) on the Internet. Our collection of more than 15.000 eBooks was produced by hundreds of volunteers. Most of the Project Gutenberg eBooks are older literary works that are in the public domain in the United States. All may be freely downloaded and read, and redistributed for non-commercial use.”
Pretty cool, huh?
