Faces and Masks
During a recent CMPG meeting held at the Gallerie Elan in Ellicott City, I became interested in a display of cast pottery sculpture. Several of these images now grace the photo galleries, filed under “Faces.”
I found the detail and realism in these cast sculptures to be incredible. If it weren’t for the eyes (or lack thereof), it would be difficult to tell that these weren’t real women. I almost wanted to reach out an touch the skin to see if it was soft.
