Puncture Wound
I am not a happy camper.
This morning, Donna be-bopped out the door to leave for the first day of her new job. She asked if there was plenty of gas in “The Mouse,” and I assured her that there was, but that I’d rather she take “Cavvie” until we got the brakes on “The Mouse” worked on. Except that, when she got to get in the “Cavvie,” she discovered that her left front tire was going flat.
“Okay” I said. “Take ‘the mouse’, and I’ll look at that later.”
Well, now I’ve looked at it, and I don’t at all like what I see.
The tire has a small puncture in the lower sidewall. Generally speaking, tires don’t get punctures in the lower sidewall on their own (except in some extreme driving conditions). Someone has to put it there. On purpose. I’m p—ed. Because, I think I know who would have done it, but I can’t prove it.
So, it’s gonna cost us $100 $160 for a couple of new tires (I only buy tires in pairs), on top of the $170+ $293.64 we were already going to have to shell out on brakes for “The Mouse,” and and unknown sum for front-end work on The Van.
At this rate, I’m probably not even going to be able to upgrade the processor on my stinkin’ PC.
BAH!
