East Coast Earthquakes
Is it me, or are there more “reportable” earthquakes occuring on the East Coast of the United States? I’ve known for years that we have, on average, 150 minor tremors a year here, most of which no one even notices.
For instance, there have been small earthquakes in Tennessee both yesterday and the day before, and also once last week. Late last night, there was a magnitude 3.8 quake 2 miles from Hot Springs, North Carolina.
So, what happens when the East Coast is hit with “the big one?” Scientists have long warned that when we do get a serious earthquake here, it’s gonna be a doozy. What’s being done to prepare?
Nothing. The East Coast will be decimated. Cities will fall. Fire and brimstone, and all that rot. All kidding aside, we hear of the devastation in serious earthquakes in areas that are “prepared.” Just imagine what will happen in an area that’s not.

thanks. I was just walking through life thinking, hmm, I don’t have enough to worry about…
Personally, my plan is to get under a large object, such as my dog, if we have an earthquake. But, yeah, I think you’re right about there seeming to be a little more siesmic activity on the old east coast lately. That tremor we had when I lived in MA really felt wierd…and our toilet was never right afterward.
what will we do? just sing; pick a song any song…
Shake, Rattle and Roll.
Roll with the changes.
Do the hippy shake shake.
Shake Your Bon-Bon.
Shake Your Body Down To The Ground.
