Model Railroaders are Perverts …

… At least, it seems that’s what the authors of porn sites seem to think.

I did a Google search tonight to try to find some information on making realistic water effects for model railroads. Making a still pond is easy. But, I want some wave action going on.

So, I went to Google, and, in the advanced search page, I entered “model railroad water.” Sure, I got a couple of valid hits. But, by the third page, every link was to a porn site. They’ve stuffed “model railroad” into their META tags, along with just about every other hobby phrase they can think of.

No wonder we can’t get younger people into the hobby. They get distracted by all the boobies!
