3200 Homes Threaten Bay and Wildlife Refuge
Posted by Geren in A Day in the Life.... Add comments
Development on the Eastern Shore is threatening the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, and the delicate ecology of the Chesapeake Bay.
Located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, just south of the city of Cambridge, the proposed Blackwater Resort development borders sensitive wetlands and the Little Blackwater River which feeds into one of the most premier wetland areas in the country: the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge.
This development is a textbook case of how NOT to manage development on the shore.
You can help stop it.
I encourage you to visit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation web site, and sign the petition to stop this development.
