Location — It’s Not Just for Real Estate Any More

For some time now, I’ve been relatively frustrated trying to sell my fine-art photography at local venues. Whether it be at shows or galleries, in this area, scenics of the Eastern Shore and old boats and the like just don’t sell very well.

This past weekend, however, was a real eye-opener for me. I was privileged to open at the new Henry Fine Arts Gallery in Berlin, MD, as a part of the town’s annual fall arts night. Over the course of the weekend, I was able to sell two framed photographs, several matted photographs and some photo note card sets. Usually, I’m lucky to sell one or two matted prints and some note cards.

Obviously, I’ve been showing at the wrong venues!

Hey, congrats on your sales………you are going to have to get a bigger wallet now.

Thanks! But, not that much bigger. I incurred a lot of costs for the weekend, which I have to recoup first. Ah, well. At least it’s an improvement!

congratulations! I’m sorry the hub and I missed your show - sometimes it takes time for talent to be recognized…hey, at least you aren’t dead yet!
