What’s in My Bag?

We made another trip to Penn this evening …

My regular photo “kit” now includes the following:

  • Nikon D70s body
  • Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 zoom
  • Tokina 12-24mm f/4 zoom
  • Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 zoom
  • Nikon SB-800 flash
  • Extra battery and CF cards
  • Cokin filters and adapter rings for Tamron lenses
  • B+W circular polarizer for Tokina 12-24mm zoom
  • Lens and sensor cleaning supplies
  • Bogen 3021N tripod with Bogen 488RC2 ball head

I’m moving towards better and faster lenses — the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 is new, and replaces a Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5, as well as a Sigma 28-135mm f/3.8-5.6 that I’ve been carting around.

It’s possible that the 70-300 will get replaced at some point, too, depending on how much need there is. I don’t use the lens very much at this point — not so much because it’s a slow lens, but because I’ve not been doing a lot of “long lens” work lately.

Instead, I’ve been concentrating on landscapes, and the wider lenses are, generally, better suited to the kind of work I’m doing. Of course, the 28-75 will be an excellent wedding/event lens as well.

That means that the older lenses are up for sale. Both are in “like new” condition. I’m asking $200 for the 18-70 and $100 for the 28-135. Interested? Contact me!
