The Automotive Trap

You know, I hate cars. I really hate cars.

The van’s back in the shop again. It seems that the alternator that was replaced last time has taken a dump, and needs replacement. Fortunately for the shop (and our credit card), they’re handling that under warranty.

There’s another bunch of stuff that needs to be done to the front end — things like tie rods and end links and a bearing. What gets me is that most of this has been done before. What is it about a 1998 Ford Windstar that causes it to tear a front-end up repeatedly? Or, is this one just a lemon?

You know, I hate cars.

Extend the Metro to Columbia! Or better yet, Westminster! I’m right there with you - I’d give up my car in a heartbeat if I could

That wouldn’t do me much good — I almost never go to DC (or Baltimore, for that matter). And, I work in Columbia, mostly.
