I’ve posted more pictures from my trip with Thom to my flickr site. The set includes straight images, as well as some that have had the Orton effect applied.

While I currently apply this effect using Photoshop, I don’t believe it strays from my general rule of not doing in the computer what I couldn’t achieve through traditional means. As mentioned earlier, this technique is based on a slide sandwich, in which an over-exposed, but sharp focused slide is placed in the same mount as an out of focus slide, which has been similarly over-exposed.
