And Speaking of Birds …

I walked into the kitchen for a little snack, and saw that the bird feeders were particularly busy. I grabbed the closest camera (my little cheapish point-n-shoot digital) and made a couple of pictures:

That’s a little woodpecker there munching at the suet feeder. We regularly get a couple of varieties. Also seen at the feeder were the regular cast of characters — sparrows and juncos.

 I’ll have to get the Nikon and a long lens set up on the tripod a little later and see what stops in for lunch. Maybe I’ll stick a flash out on the deck on a light stand, too, for a little better lighting.

Also seen, but not photographed this time: Gold Finches, male and female Cardinals and a Tufted Titmouse.

Now, back to get my snack…
