It’s On The Truck!
According to FedEx, my little box of Dell goodness is on the truck, and on its way to me!
There are a couple of items that, in retrospect, I wish I had ordered along with the machine — specifically, the VGA adapter cable and the car charger. I mean, I’d already broken the budget. I won’t need the VGA adapter for at least a couple of months yet, though, so no big deal. More important will be some of the other hardware and software that I mentioned in the original posting.
An interesting note on this — it didn’t ship from Dell’s facility in Texas. It appears that it may have been warehoused at FedEx in Nashville as part of the FedEx JIT shipping program. That may be why there was some confusion as to the actual ship date for the first 24 hours after I placed the order.
