Writing with a PDA

Writing a blog entry or a PDA screen can be an ercercise in frustration, especially when portions of the text box are obscured. It takes a bit of getting used to.

So this is a test post using the Opera browser and writing with the little stylus right on the screen. It’s amazing.

I remember my old Newton and its terrible text recognition. I’d spend weeks training it, and the battery would die and I’d have to start all over! This new Dell tracks really well by comparison. Obviously, it makes mistakes, and I might have to rewrite a word here and there, but most of the time it deciphers my scrawl with ease. Very impressive.
