The Newcomers

I mentioned previously that we had acquired a few more fish, specifically two Spotted Corydoras and a Plecostomus. I don’t think I mentioned how camera-shy they are. Yes, they they hide when the camera comes out! Earlier this evening, I was finally able to get some nearly acceptable picture of the new-comers.

Here, we see the two Corydoras in one of their favorite places — the back corner of the tank, near the lift tube. They look like they’re a bit suspicious of me, as if they’re saying, “Here’s that human again, and he’s got that camera. Maybe if we just let him get the picture, he’ll leave us alone.”

The Pleco likes to hide behind the lift tube, where there’s no chance I can get him with the camera. He just suctions himself to the tube, a plant, or the back of the tank and hangs there. But, from the looks of the glass, it’s obvious that he and his buddies have been going gang-busters on clean-up duty. Almost every place on the glass that I missed with the algae cleaner has been cleaned.
