The New On30XChange

For those who haven’t been following along, I’ve been wanting to make some changes to the On30XChange site for some time now. Well, they’re finally pretty much done, and I’ll be switching to the new format sometime tomorrow.

The whole concept of the site has changed, moving from a forum site to more of an e-zine for On30 modelers. The big difference between this an most other e-zines is that the content will (hopefully) be provided by the users in near real time.

I’m really going to be pushing for the authors to write articles, preferably using Windows Live Writer to author their stories. WLW is very extensible, and allows a huge amount of flexibility that the online editor simply doesn’t include, such as easy image and text formatting. The web site thumbnail at the head of this posting was generated completely automatically (the plug-in to do this is a beta version, and so a few bugs still need to be worked out).

Anyway, I encourage your involvement in the On30XChange. Make it your web site, not mine.
