Colonial Statement?
This was about the first thing we saw once we finally made it to the historic area of Williamsburg. A little odd, we thought, this being Easter weekend, and all.
We wondered around the area, generally scoping out for shooting for the next couple of days. I pushed the XTi a bit, doing pretty much everything available light. As I mentioned previously, this is a put the camera through its paces kind of weekend.
Here are a few more images from this evening’s wander …
By the time we got done wandering around, it had gotten pretty chilly. But, we had to walk all the way back through the town. By the time we got back to our little crucified buddy, someone else appears to have noticed the irony in his “pose,” and he had been repositioned somewhat.
So far, the results from the XTi are quite promising. I was initially noticing what I thought was some softness, particularly at longer focal lengths. This would, of course, be a lens issue as opposed to a body issue, and I may yet check it against another lens at the store. But there may yet also be some settings in the camera I need to tweak.
