Looks Like We Made It
We finally made it onto a plane, about and hour and a half late, and landed in Portland. After a minor miscue in finding the rental car desk (Enterprise is off-site at Portland), we were on our way to Bar Harbor.
We settled into the B&B (a place called Aysgarth Station), and strolled into the bustling downtown. Our intent was to visit the Acadia National Park information desk and get our park passes, but, the desk was closed. So, we wandered on down to the harbor, just as the evening fog was beginning to roll in.
I hadn’t carried the Canon with me — only the little Casio point-n-shoot. I did grab a couple of pictures, though, as you can see.
The Casio isn’t the best low-light camera in the world, but then, that’s not necessarily what I bought it for. Anyway, a little Photoshop, and some Nik Color Efex Pro, and we have some interesting pictures. Obviously, we’ll be shooting lots more pictures over the next week — even when the weather isn’t perfect! — and will upload them both here and to our flickr streams as we go.
