Busy Day in Ba Haba …
… and in the surrounding area. Highlights today:
- Breakfast — awesome French Toast, and some sort of chicken sausage.
- Scenic boat ride — saw seals and an osprey.
- Donna tries motor scooter with good success (sorry, no picture).
- Big cruise ship in Bar Harbor.
- More fun photography.
We’re heading up to the top of Cadillac Mountain in the morning for a 5:51AM sunrise, so, I’m off to bed for now. You can find the pictures here.

We did the Whale watch when we were there in 1997 and spent 2 hours whatch a mother whale with her calf swim around the boat playing for us. Hope you get the same sight if you take the trip. Hope you are as thrill with the park as we were. Be sure to see the glory hole on the shore line. Great photos so far.

Hi, Jim. Thanks. We were up to Maine last year, but only had one day in the Bar Harbor/Acadia area. And, the weather wasn’t nearly as good.
It’s 4:20AM as I write this … we’re (both of us!) up to go see the sun come up on Cadillac Mountain. High tide today’s around 11:15AM, so we’ll go over to Thunder Hole to see it do its thing. We missed high tide last year.
I’m looking forward to the whale thing. We’re doing an evening whale watch today. Of course, there will be pictures!
