All In All, Not Bad

Okay, I know that you all are simply dying to know how I faired on today’s motor cycle riders’ test.MSF-BRC-CERT

Well, my ride was not exactly perfect. But, it was perfect enough. I got caught up on exactly the things I thought I would — primarily “the box,” where you have to make two consecutive crossing U-turns.

I could swear, though, that I didn’t make two mistakes they said I did, and I could also swear there was one mistake I made that they didn’t ping me for. In any event, I know the things I need to improve on, and the bottom line is that tomorrow morning, bright and early, I will make my way down to the MVA and have a new drivers’ license made with an “M” in the class box.

BTW, we were again several hours (this time, close to six!) on the same little bikes as yesterday. The temperature was only a couple of degrees cooler today, but I am not anywhere near as exhausted or sore. I also plopped myself on the other little Honda, the Rebel, for a few minutes and found that, while the pedal position is better for me, the handlebars collide with my knees in close cornering. So, should I change my plan and opt for a full-fledged motorcycle, a 250cc model is probably not going to make it.

So, that’s all for now. I’m off to crash (hmm, bad choice of words … ) into bed, and call it a night. Tomorrow’s a busy day!
