Hello, Gorgeous!
She speaks! We’ve been working on this for a long time, and finally, Kiah the bird can finally say, “Hello, gorgeous” … sometimes … when she feels like it.

wow, that is a really big accomplishment both for you and the bird (and it’s true - they will only do something if they feel like it!!) Some ‘teils never learn to talk, so it’s clear that you’ve spent a lot of time working with her - congratulations!
TEA: She tried to say “peek-a-bird” the other night! the words weren’t totally clear yet, but it was obvious from her intonations (and that she was mimicking(sp?) me) that she had started to learn from everyone at the Westminster Aviary! Yay!
And the parakeets just keep getting dumber. Weird.
